Zakhaev Int. Airport: Moscow, Russia
Cpt. Ryan Ossmann callsign Fate

Rangers are considered the pinnacle of the US Army by many. Damn right we are. We have never backed down from a fight. We will never back down from a fight. That bastard Makarov sucker punched us. Mow it's time to put foot to ass. We received intel that the Spetznaz forces had returned to Zakhaev International Airport with crates of explosives. Our mission was simple; don't let them. If we were able to capture anyone for questioning that would be fine. If we couldn't; oh well.

Predator UAV scans showed that Makarov's forces would be arriving from the airfield. I put my squad into ghosting positions. They were not to advance on the enemy until I gave the command. I made my way to the airfield observation room and waited.

"Four tangos east heading towards the lobby. They have large crate carried by two men. Guards are armed with AK-47's," I relayed to my team. I continued to scan. " Seven approaching quickly to the plane. They have another crate in tow."

The airport had been empty since Makarov made his first assualt. We had no need to worry about civilians today. I watched both teams of enemy soldiers advance and readied my team for the ambush.

"Fate, tangos at the top of the escalator," my second, Infliction, said.

"Copy, tango team two on the plane," I responded.

Go time, I thought.

"All teams, engage."

Gunfire filled the still afternoon air. Reports came in that Tango Team One way out of the fight. I fired on the enemy on the plane. The two guards on the emergency ramp slid down in streams of blood. One of their friends decided to check on them; big mistake. He joined them at the bottom.

"Fate, this is Eagle, predator drone shows multiple enemies approaching from the north," the predator pilot said.

"Heads up boys. The parties just getting started," I told my team.

Spetznaz Soldier: V
Damn Americans, thought V. They always seem to know what we are planning. Makarov sends us uninformed, underarmed and without proper intel and expects us to succeed, HA.

He knew that they would be here. What he didn't know is how efficient they would be. They massacred the first crew. It was up to him and his men to finish the job. V was angry and scared. The sweat ran down his spine, sending chills through him.

He spotted a soldier in the watch room. Sighting on him, he fired.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sparks exploded by my head. Dropping to the ground, I threw C4 out the window. I had been spotted and had to retreat back with my team. The predator captain informed me that he on had enough fuel for one more pass. I threw a flash bang out the same window and hauled ass back to my team at the top of the escalator. Infliction nodded to me and I detonated the C4.
----------------------------------------------------------------
He saw the packet fly from the window. He saw the grenade fly from the window. He saw the fireball that engulfed his comrades. Three of his friends were gone. Rage filled his mind. I will find that man,he thought, and he will pay.

V ran towards the plane but did not enter. Sticking close to the wall and using a side entrance; he made his way to the Terminal. A lone guard fell down the stairs with a knife buried in his skull. He retrieved his knife and pressed on.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Eagle fire AGM on these coordinates," I gave him the numbers for the airfield.

I heard the thump of the AGM-114 Hellfire missile as it launched. It delivered it's payload a few seconds later. The impact shook the building and shattered some of the windows and decorative glass.

"Confirm 3 tangos down. Returning to base," Eagle Reported.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Another explosion rocked the world around him. V wondered how many more of his friends had died. He continued to press his way further inward. He saw two men running to support their fellow soldiers. They never made it. V took them both down and hid the bodies behind the ticket counter. The luggage check-in was directly ahead. He made for it just as he heard the distinctive WHUMP WHUMP WHUMP of a Pave Low heavy assault helicopter. It is over, V thought, my brothers will run. They should run. This is lost.

V knew that he was to far gone to return to him fellow soldiers. His only hope was to cause as much damage to the Americans as he could before the end. Vengeance would be his.
----------------------------------------------------------
The Pave Low had them on the run. We had won the day. I ordered on Demo team to come and disarm the two bombs. Infliction and I set out to do a body count.

"Not bad," he said, as I put a dip of tobacco in my mouth.

"Nope," I replied.

"Do you think they'll be back. I mean... we kinda kicked their ass today," he laughed.

"They always do. You see; people like Makarov can never accept defeat. He'll call this a set back and try again a different way at a different time. The only way to stop people like that is with a hollow point," I said.
---------------------------------------------------------
He saw them walking amongst his fallen brethren. He would make him watch his friend die; as he had watched his die. The captain had stopped and was talking to his second with a fierce scowl on his face. Time to learn sorrow, V thought. He pulled the trigger on his silenced pistol.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I heard it. I heard the sickening sound of a bullet puncturing the soft tissue before it passes to dense bone, cracking, crushing it's way through to the sponge like gray matter that makes up the human brain.

I saw it. I saw the head snap back. I saw the dark half-inch round piece of brass bore it's way through. It mushroomed into a one and a half inch slug as it impacted the bone and blew it's way out the back; taking half of the head with it.

My friend was there and then he wasn't. Instinct drove me to the ground. Someone was here. One was still alive. I radioed it in. My men swarmed the area, searching for the enemy. They reported all clear in all areas. I was being mocked. Infliction was gone, dammit. I vowed that day that I would get him.

     I hunt him still...
-----------------------------------------------------------
He did not have to wait around. He knew how the man would react. They would search and not find him. He ran to a service room, climbed into the duct system and waited. The man would gather his men and leave. V would slip away and fight again.

In his book the Captain and him were even until next time...
